Privacy Policy
This policy explains, in plain words, what the Art Blast iPhone app and this website collect, why, and what you can do about it.
The short version
- There is no account, no sign-up and no login. We never ask for your name or email.
- The app uses a random anonymous ID so your phone can only change its own likes and download counts.
- We collect app usage, crash and speed data through Google Firebase to fix problems and make Art Blast better.
- Ads come from Google AdMob and are non-personalised. The app does not track you across other apps and websites.
- Photos you pick in the Editor are processed on your phone and are not uploaded to us.
- Purchases go through Apple. We never see your card details.
- We do not sell your personal data.
- Questions or deletion requests: info@sazgames.com.
Who we are
Art Blast is made by SAZ Games LLC, a limited liability company in Washington, USA. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean SAZ Games LLC. We are responsible for the personal data described here.
This policy covers the Art Blast app for iPhone (listed on the App Store as "Art Blast - Wallpapers") and this website. Our company site is https://www.sazgames.com.
You can reach us any time at info@sazgames.com.
What we collect and why
Art Blast works without an account, so the data below is not linked to your name or email.
| Data | Why | Who processes it |
|---|---|---|
| A random anonymous ID for each install (Firebase Anonymous Authentication) | So a device can only change its own likes and download counts | Google (Firebase) |
| Your likes and downloads, counted once per device | To show how popular each Wallpaper is | Google (Cloud Firestore) |
| App usage events: screens opened, Wallpapers saved, Live Wallpapers opened, taps on the Pro screen and the purchase outcome, app version, device model, country or region, language | To understand how the app is used and improve it | Google (Google Analytics for Firebase) |
| Crash reports: stack trace, device model, iOS version, app version | To find and fix crashes | Google (Firebase Crashlytics) |
| Speed measurements: start time, network timings | To keep the app fast | Google (Firebase Performance Monitoring) |
| A check that requests come from the genuine app (Apple App Attest or DeviceCheck) | To protect our servers from abuse and fake traffic | Google (Firebase App Check) and Apple |
| A push notification token, only if you allow notifications | To send you notifications | Google (Firebase Cloud Messaging) and Apple |
| Device information and IP address used for ads | To show, limit, measure and protect ads from fraud | Google (AdMob) |
| Purchase status of Art Blast Pro | To remove ads and unlock Live Wallpapers | Apple (In-App Purchase) |
| Your email address and message, only if you email us | To answer you | Us, through our email provider |
Legal bases (for people in the EU, EEA and UK)
- Legitimate interests: running the app, keeping it secure, counting likes and downloads, analytics, crash reports, speed measurements and showing non-personalised ads that keep the app free.
- Contract: providing Art Blast Pro after you buy it.
- Consent: push notifications, which you allow or refuse in iOS.
What we do not collect
- Your name, email, phone number or address (unless you email us yourself).
- A login or password. There is no account.
- Your card or payment details. Apple handles payment.
- The photos you pick in the Editor. They stay on your phone.
- Your precise location.
- Your contacts.
- The advertising identifier for tracking. The app does not show the App Tracking Transparency prompt because it does not track you.
Ads
Art Blast is free, and ads help pay for it. Some downloads show a short rewarded video ad first, and you choose whether to watch it. There is also a banner ad in some places.
Ads are provided by Google AdMob. Current versions of the app request non-personalised ads only, which means ads are not chosen based on a profile of you. AdMob may still collect device information and your IP address to serve ads, limit how often you see them, measure them and prevent fraud. Google's own policy applies to that: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
The App Store privacy label for Art Blast says the app does not track you. Art Blast Pro removes ads.
Analytics and crash reports
We use Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics and Firebase Performance Monitoring to see which parts of the app people use, which Wallpapers get saved, where the app crashes and how fast it runs. This data is tied to the anonymous install, not to you by name. We use it only to improve Art Blast.
Photos access
The app asks for permission to add to your Photos so it can save Wallpapers and Live Wallpapers there. In the Editor, you pick a photo yourself. It is processed on your phone to make your Wallpaper and is not uploaded to us.
You can change Photos access any time in iOS Settings, under Art Blast.
Purchases
Art Blast Pro is a single one-time in-app purchase, not a subscription. Apple handles the payment, the receipt and refunds, and we never see your card details. The app only learns whether Pro is active on your Apple Account, so it can remove ads and unlock every Live Wallpaper.
You can restore Pro from the Help or Pro screen in the app with the same Apple Account. Refunds are requested from Apple at https://reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple's own privacy policy applies to your purchase.
Data kept on your phone
Your settings, likes, Pro status and similar choices are stored on your phone. Deleting the app removes them.
Sharing and service providers
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for cross-app advertising.
We use these service providers to run Art Blast:
- Google (Firebase and AdMob): anonymous sign-in, the Wallpaper catalogue and counters, analytics, crash reports, speed measurements, app checks, notifications and ads.
- Apple (App Store and In-App Purchase): app delivery, purchases, app checks and notification delivery.
- Our website host: hosting for this website.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our users, our services or others.
International transfers
SAZ Games LLC is based in the United States, and our main service providers (Google and Apple) are US companies. If you use Art Blast outside the US, your data may be processed in the US and other countries where these providers operate. Where the law requires it, we rely on the safeguards these providers offer for international transfers.
How long we keep data
- Analytics, crash and speed data: kept for the standard periods set by Firebase and Google Analytics.
- Like and download counts: kept as totals for each Wallpaper for as long as the Wallpaper is in the app.
- Data on your phone: kept until you delete the app.
- Emails you send us: kept as long as we need them to help you. You can ask us to delete them.
Your rights and choices
Wherever you live, you can ask us questions about your data or ask us to delete it by emailing info@sazgames.com. Because Art Blast has no account, we often cannot tell which data belongs to you. The anonymous ID that would link it is not easy for you to see. We will do what we reasonably can to help.
Choices in the app and on your phone
- Stop analytics and other data collection: delete the app. This also removes everything stored on your phone.
- Notifications: turn them off in iOS Settings, under Notifications, then Art Blast.
- Photos: change access in iOS Settings, under Art Blast.
- Ads: Art Blast Pro removes them.
EU, EEA and UK
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you have the right to access your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive a copy in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
California
If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, to ask us to delete or correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights.
To use any of these rights, email info@sazgames.com. We may need to ask a few questions to find the right data.
Security
We rely on the security of Google Firebase and Apple, and we limit what each phone can change: a device can only update its own likes and download counts. No method of sending or storing data is perfectly secure, but we work to protect the data we handle.
Children
Art Blast is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email info@sazgames.com and we will delete what we can find.
This website
This website does not ask you for any personal information. Like most websites, our web host may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, to run the site and keep it secure. If we ever add cookies or analytics to this website, we will update this policy first.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Art Blast handles data, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we will make it clear on this page or in the app.
